The His Place Hartford Community Center has provided the community with recreational activities and a positive place to go for the youth. But their connection to their community doesn't end there. The Hartford Community Center has been a beacon of hope and a meeting point for the community to come together in time of need and tragedy. For example, in early 2011 the center hosted a benefit dinner and silent auction to support a family who suffered a tragic loss. The event was attended by people from all over the country and served as a ray of light in a dark time. Below you will find some of the testimonies from those touched by the center.
